The first round draw for the DFB Pokal took place on Saturday, and St. Pauli were drawn away against Offenburg FV, who play in the 5th tier of German football. The game will be played during the weekend of 17th-20th August. The exact date and kick-off time will be confirmed in due course. Offenburg lies on the German border with France, close to Strasbourg.
Sports director Rachid Azzouzi: “I know about the history of FC St. Pauli in the DFB Pokal, so it is our goal, to survive the first round, we will confront the enemy with respect and be ready for the game in order to reach the second round. ”
Captain Boll: “we will not under-estimate Offenburg under any circumstances. For OFV this is the game of the year, but we will do our best, it’s good to reach the second round.”
The club also recently announced that they will host Aberdeen in a pre-season friendly on the 28th July. St Pauli tickets for this game will go on sale from Thursday 28th June, with tickets priced at €15 for seats and €10 for standing.
