St. Pauli against the club “secure stadium experience”

The club earlier today published a short statement  on the official website, outlining it’s views on the “secure stadium experience” proposals as outlined in a post on our site yesterday.

The club statement firstly states that they (the board) have discussed the paper with the relevant associations (namely the Supervisory Board, the Department Supporting Members, the Fanclubsprecherrat, the Standing Fan Committee, the fan-delegate representatives and the fan shop) and have rejected the vast majority of the paper. The strong opinion of those asked was that the assumed increase of violence detailed in the proposals was unproven, and therefore it is thought that the proposals are disproportionate and inappropriate.

St. Pauli’s vice president, Dr. Gernot Stenger, who was on the committee who raised these proposals has resigned from the committee.
