Saglik Departs

As expected, striker Mahir Saglik has left St. Pauli after a transfer was finalised with Paderborn. Saglik had struggled to force his way into the starting XI since his arrival 18 months ago, and was mainly used as a substitute. Saglik returns home to Paderborn, for a nominal fee. Saglik was born in Paderborn and made his professional debut there before moving on, but later returned on loan in 2009-10.

Paderborn will pay a small fee for Saglik, who would have been out of contract in the summer, believed to be a five figure fee according to MoPo. We wish ‘Magic’ Saglik the best for the future, but hope he doesn’t score against us like Naki! Finally, thank you in particular for these two goals…
