St Pauli today completed their sixth signing of the close season with the capture of Michael Gregoritsch, 19, on loan from TSC Hoffenheim until the end of the season.
Gregoritsch comes with a promising reputation. He is a current Austria Under-21s international, as well as the youngest ever goal scorer in the Austria Bundesliga, scoring for SV Kapfenberg aged just 15 and 361 days. Last year for Hoffenheim’s u-23’s team, Gregoritsch notched 11 goals in 28 appearances.
Sports director Rachid Azzouzi: “Michael is a strong header of the ball and despite his size, he’s a good technical striker. He has a strong left foot. Already at a young age, he has proven that he can score goals. ”
Michael Gregoritsch: “I wanted to play in Germany and I am glad that gives me the FC St. Pauli the chance. I want to play as many matches as possible and will do everything I can for the team.”
“The talks were very good. They have shown me a fair deal to play here. Therefore, my decision was quickly made after the talks.”
